Greetings delegate! This is Kaylee Chang, and I’m a senior student from TCS. It is my honor to serve as your President of the House of Commons (HoC) at NTMUN this year!
This is my second year participating in Model United Nations, and I believe that diplomacy lies not only in what we say, but also in how we communicate. To me, this is what makes debate so fascinating. Throughout my MUN journey, this activity has reshaped my perspectives, challenged my limits, and brought unexpected colors into my life. Fun fact: I fell in love with MUN the moment I first got involved, and I’ve been obsessed ever since!
To all delegates: It’s completely normal to face bottlenecks or frustrations, because those experiences make you a stronger person and allow you to reach greater heights. Sometimes people need advice to improve, and I want to be that person to guide you in the British Parliament —just as I wished someone had been there for me during my own periods of self-doubt in MUN.
Outside of MUN, I’m also a figure skater who gets injured quite often. However, skating has taught me discipline and perseverance. Despite the challenges, I truly enjoy every moment on the ice.

Hello! I am Nichole Lin, and I am a sophomore at Kang Chiao International School Linkou Campus (KCISLK). I am glad to serve as your deputy-president at the British Parliament at this year’s NTMUN. This is my 19th conference, my 9th time as a student officer, and my 7th time chairing.
I started my MUN journey in seventh grade. At first, I lacked a lot of confidence to go up to the podium because I was scared that people were going to judge what I say and how I speak. However, I soon realized that MUN is not only about debating, and definitely not a competition. For me, MUN is about the process of collaboration between people that helps us realize that we are working towards the same goal. It has become more like a hobby to me, rather than just a conference. Therefore, make friends and have fun. You will realize that the people around you are more similar to you than you imagined.
Besides MUN, I have a lot of other hobbies. First of all, I enjoy reading, with most of them being thrillers and romantasies. So if you read similar books as me, we will have a lot to talk about. I also enjoy karaoke, even though my voice cracks a lot. If you have any questions or you just simply want to talk to me, feel free to approach me!

Hello! My name is Andrew Chang, a freshman at Hsinchu County American School, and it is my pleasure to serve as a Deputy President for the House of Commons in NTMUN V. I started my MUN journey in 7th grade, and this would be my first chairing experience.
I still remember my first conference at STMUN. The fact that I was “encouraged” by our school MUN mentor to attend at least one conference. The fact that I wrote down my entire opening speech on paper, and was shaking my whole way through the conference. With that in mind, don’t worry if this is your first conference, or if you fear public speaking (like me), we all have times where we struggled to form a sentence, or times where we responded poorly to a complex POI. The most important thing is to participate, challenge yourselves, and have a fun, exciting experience in NTMUN V.
